VL3311 Analog Circuits Laboratory Syllabus – Anna University Regulation 2021
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• To analyze frequency response and bandwidth of various transistor amplifiers and oscillator circuits.
• To understand the characteristics of differential amplifiers, feedback amplifiers, and power amplifiers..
• To simulate and verify transistor biasing circuits and oscillator/amplifier designs.
LIST OF EXPERIMENTS
1. Frequency response and determination of bandwidth for
• CE, CB and CC amplifiers.
• CS and CD amplifiers.
• Darlington Amplifier
• Cascode and Cascade amplifier
2. Differential Amplifiers – Transfer characteristics, CMRR Measurement
3. Series and Shunt feedback amplifiers (Frequency response, Input and output impedance)
4. RC Phase shift oscillator and Wien Bridge Oscillator
5. Class A Transformer Coupled Power Amplifier.
SIMULATION USING SPICE:
1. Analysis of BJT with Fixed bias and Voltage divider bias
2. Analysis of MOSFET with fixed bias, self-bias and voltage divider bias
3. Hartley Oscillator and Colpitts Oscillator
4. Analysis of power amplifier (Class A, Class B, Class AB and Class C)
TOTAL: 60 PERIODS
COURSE OUTCOMES
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Evaluate the frequency response and bandwidth of different transistor amplifier configurations and oscillator circuits.
2. Measure and interpret transfer characteristics, CMRR of differential amplifiers, and analyze feedback amplifier parameters.
3. Perform circuit simulations using SPICE to analyze transistor biasing and amplifier/oscillator performance, and validate experimental results.
