Objectives of the Course

After taking the course, students will be able to

  • Use R for statistical programming, computation, graphics and modelling
  • Write functions and use R in an efficient way
  • Fit some basic types of statistical models

  • Graphical display of distributions
  • Measures of central tendency -Mean, median, mode
  • Measures of Dispersion- std. deviation, mean deviation
  • Regression and correlation. Linear models.
  • Large sample tests
  • Small sample test t- tests
  • Small sample test F-tests
  • Small sample test Chi-square tests
  • ANOVA (one way)
  • ANOVA (Two way)
