COURSE OBJECTIVES:

 To introduce the basic concepts, structure and functions of human resource management for entrepreneurs.
 To create an awareness of the roles, functions and functioning of human resource department.
 To understand the methods and techniques followed by Human Resource Management practitioners.

UNIT I INTRODUCTION TO HRM

Concept, Definition, Objectives- Nature and Scope of HRM – Evolution of HRM – HR Manager RolesSkills – Personnel Management Vs. HRM – Human Resource Policies – HR Accounting – HR Audit – Challenges in HRM.

UNIT II HUMAN RESOURCE PLANNING

HR Planning – Definition – Factors- Tools – Methods and Techniques – Job analysis- Job rotationJob Description – Career Planning – Succession Planning – HRIS – Computer Applications in HR – Recent Trends

UNIT III RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

UNIT IV TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT

UNIT V CONTROLLING HUMAN RESOURCES
